Why do I need a valid email address?

When you register with Island Hosting, we send you all your account details (within 12 hours) to the email address that you specify in the sign-up form. If you use a fake email address, you simply won't receive the crucial information you need to get started.

We strongly suggest you use an email address that is NOT associated with the domain you are asking us to host for you. For example, you should use the email address provided by your Internet Service Provider, which may look like yourname@bigpond.net.au, or yourname@optusnet.com.au. If you are planning on hosting yourwebname.com with us, please don't use an email such as yourname@yourwebname.com, as there may be issues with delegation and nameserver propagation which cause your account details to get lost.
