Setting up email in Microsoft Outlook
Please Note: This guide has been created using screenshots from Microsoft Outlook XP - if you are using a different version you may have some differences.
Within Microsoft Outlook, go to the file menu and select 'Tools' and then 'Email Accounts':
Select 'Add a new email account':

and select type POP3:

You will be presented with the following fields to fill in:
User Information: Your Name: This is the name that will be displayed when sending your email Email Address: The email address people will reply to when receiving email from you (You should enter your FULL EMAIL ADDRESS here.
Logon Information: User Name: The login name is YOUR FULL EMAIL ADDRESS. eg: name@yourdomain.com Password: Enter the password used to create this email account
Server Information: Incoming Server (POP3): Type in mail.yourdomain.com eg: if your domain was islandhosting.com.au, you would enter mail.islandhosting.com.au Outgoing Server (SMTP): Please use your ISP's Outgoing Mail Server.
Here are some common ISPs and their SMTP server:
Telstra Bigpond: mail.bigpond.com Primus: smtp.iprimus.com.au Westnet: mail.westnet.com.au Optusnet: mail.optusnet.com.au Internode: mail.internode.on.net
If your ISP is not listed, please contact them directly for the appropriate setting. You can then let us know, and we'll add it to the list!
